Hello Bowdoin Team---have been following you closely these past years and want to congratulate you on your best year to date. There can be an even better outcome in the future,, but it is up to you to make it happen. There will be some changes you will have to make, but these changes will make you a better athlete and person in the long run. The first thing is that you will have to have a more focused dedication for yourself and for the team----which really means your teammates. You all have made gains this winter---good gains---so don't let them get away from you during the spring and summer. Yes, it is going to require some work---this you will find out is the secret to success in anything you will do for the rest of your life---WORK! Put in the time and you'll get the results--pure and simple. Look at the teams you beat this year and the points you were capable of producing when you were clicking as a team. I think a team goal should be to score over 2200-230 points every weekend---it will take everyone of you to do it and I think you can, but you will have to do some real training this spring and summer. You can do it. Marty Hall,ex-coach
Nathan Alsobrook enters his 18th year as head coach of the Bowdoin nordic ski team. Prior to his Bowdoin tenure, Alsobrook held coaching positions at Whitman College, Montana State University, Colby College, and the Pocatello XC Ski Foundation. He earned an MS in Exercise Physiology from Montana State University in 2005; his thesis was entitled "The Role of Upper Body Power in Classical Cross-Country Ski Performance."
